Examination for Pulp Exposure at the Occlusal Surface and Classification of Dental Fractures

چکیده
Knowledge of anatomical features of the occlusal surface of cheek teeth (CT) and subocclusal endodontic features (including whether pulp has been properly replaced by secondary dentine) is important in equine dentistry because this may help the clinician determine if the vital, innervated structures of the dentino-pulpal complex have been or might become compromised (e.g., following dental fracture or when performing large dental reductions).

Fracture necrosis: diagnosis, prognosis assessment, and treatment recommendations.
INTRODUCTION The presence of cracks and fractures in teeth can pose difficulties in diagnosis, prognosis assessment, and treatment recommendations. When a tooth has no significant restorations or caries, whereby the pulp is nonvital in the absence of a luxation injury, it is suggested that this necrosis is likely caused by a significant longitudinal crack that extends from the occlusal surface ...

متن کاملStudy on the histopathological modifications of the dental pulp in occlusal trauma.
The diagnosis of occlusion-generated disorders of the dento-maxillary apparatus represents a sensitive stage within the establishment of the therapeutic means for the functional rehabilitation of dental arches. The laborious effort carried out in order to specify the diagnosis resides in the fact that any trauma arising at the level of any component of the stomatognate system may lead to an occ...
